Complaints about Bluesky being a "left wing enclave" can be safely ignored because they fail to account for the fact that Twitter now privileges and amplifies right wing extremism and no one is obligated to put up with that as a condition of using social media
Well, compared to the birdsite, we *are* left wing - but ten so was Ferdinand Franco.
It's such a weird mindset too. Like how dare people dislike twitters hostile atmosphere, and prefer to use a more welcoming social media app/website. How dare people want to be somewhere where they're not constantly being attacked for no reason. Lmao.
absolutely facts holy shit, nail on the head.
I'll drink to that !
Agreed. And I’d add that we now have two alternative platforms biasing right wing views. Threads may not actively promote Trump as hard as Twitter, but it is crushing the life out of its left wing user base. BlueSky is the only platform of the three not acting like an extension of project 2025.
Wut? I have literally seen conservatives post on here. BlueSky just doesn't tolerate alt right crap, and expects people to back up their political points if they bring them up. And honestly, BlueSky is only left wing in the states where the overton window is fuuuuucked
Exactly. The more apt comparison is that Twitter is a Nazi bar and Bluesky is not a Nazi bar.
Agree!!!
It's so cool when they are masking off about their stances
