I genuinely never finished it first time around, then after hearing the backpedaling from the show runners I decided to abandon it. Maybe I should give it a chance

It's pretty bingeable to be fair. And a lot of it makes more sense - in so much as you can see all the lines they drew to fit together - on multiple viewings. They still messed up a lot of stuff that they didn't really have plans for in the first place though.
