Right before the start of #ICA24, we want to promote the final (hybrid) session on Monday June 24 (1:30-2:45pm). The session 'Embodied and Embattled' includes talks on positive experiences in VR, uses & gratifications during Covid-19 and trolling motives in games.

On Monday June 24, we are still going strong! A first #ICA24 session (10:30-11:45am), 'There's Money in Gaming', includes four presentations on eSports content distribution in LoL, viewership of King Pro League, and two talks on socio-economic implications in Axie Infinity.

The final #ICA24 session on Sunday June 23 (1:30-2:45pm) is 'Instruments of Play'. This session includes four presentations on goal-based smartphone games, game-based inoculation interventions, gaming demands & resilience and recovery through The Legend of Zelda's Tears of The Kingdom.

Sunday noon (12-1:15pm), we have two #ICA24 posters in the division: one on data practices and one on affective disposition theory!

The second #ICA24 session on Sunday June 23 (10:30-11:45am), we have a high-density session titled 'The Gaming Cultures'. This session includes interesting short talks on, among other topics, interpersonal relationships, cultural & gender representation, and love in games.

For the first #ICA24 session on Sunday June 23 (9-10:15am), we have another hybrid high-density session 'The Gaming Industries'. Several short presentations will highlight ongoing research on gaming journalism, esports and the game industry itself.

Our second and final #ICA24 session on Saturday June 22 is the high-density session 'The Gaming Psychologies'. This session includes short talks on meaning, grief, justice and more in games.

On Saturday June 22, we start off at 9am with a (hybrid) panel session 'The Post-Gamer Turn'. This panel will discuss evolving player demographics, 'gamer' identity and stereotypes, and more! #ICA24

After our #ICA24@icagames.bsky.social members to attend in order to stay up to date with the division and have a lovely (game) chat with fellow members.

Our second #ICA24 session is the hybrid research escalator 'Emotions, Camaraderie, and Offense in Game Spaces'! On Friday June 21 (12-1:15pm), upcoming scholars will present their work on participatory game culture, persistent games, offensive language, and emotional self-regulation.
