I did something quite mean for my new Youtube video: I gave it two different thumbnails using AB testing. This changes my answer to the video title, and everyone is now fighting in the comments but for different reasons. I restart the test every few hours so it keeps going
The only confirmation that there are two thumbnails is at the end of the two hour video. I can immediately tell who has not watched the video yet, based on how upset they are in the comments section. And I love it
