The Larger Pacific Striped Octopus is a unique and a yet to be described octopus species. It is the only octopus species that is known to be social, forming groups of up to 40 octopuses. They are also one of only two octopus species that can spawn multiple times. #OCTOtober

Well, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery... The Mimic Octopus (Thaumoctopus mimicus) is known for its acting skills. They will mimic several different animals, both in order to deter predators and to hunt their own prey. #OCTOtober

Its arms are extending out, and mostly have a wavy pattern, although one arm is raised and curled around. Its eyes are being raised up, and it has two long bits above each eyes that resemble fleshy horns. It has an alternative pattern of white and brown. This is most notable on its arms, which have alternating brown and white stripes, with a thin white lin going down the length of the arms.
