I think if anyone who's trans heard one of their friends say something to the effect of "I'd probably fall for you if you were the other sex" it would definitely weigh on their mind for a while. Who wouldn't get depressed believing your body has robbed your soul of a deeper bond with someone else?

And it sucks to have your wish to be desirable turned into a wedge that invalidates your entire friendship. You'll see their heart and creativity making a positive impact in your community and feel appreciative in silence because they will read your kindness as an obsession with getting close again.
