It’s possible to use Instagram without being the focus of the visuals – many carousel posts are text-based & the comments are threaded which can offer more nuance and less brigading than Twitter. I used to loathe IG but now I use the stories a lot – I annotate images & do collages

That’s interesting but also reminds me of my other issue with Instagram which is that it needs me to learn how to use it. I don’t know what a carousel is or how to make a post with collages and text etc. (Funny in the context of the article which says BlueSky is more complicated than Insta / TikTok)
