I enjoyed the two seasons of the show and all of the movies except the first and yeah people seem to gloss over that the message of every movie is: The purge is bad, it only benefits the rich, and they've tricked the poor in to thinking it's good.

A little quibble, but at least some of the movies definitely show that the poor knew exactly what was the purge really about, and that it was the middle to upper class that was deluding themselves.

Just to clarify, do you mean the first Purge movie or the movie The First Purge?

As with the Saw franchise, I’m not being fooled by this “there’s a message” stuff. The real message? The studio profits via violence porn.
