And on the flip side, you don't just get to be a sub/slave either. It takes a lot of bravery to give up control to another person. To trust that, whatever the play ends up being, the master/dom will care about your wellbeing at the end of the day.

If, for whatever reason, you genuinely don't want the dom to care about you at the end of the day, I don't think you should be participating in this kink culture. It's not about being an abuser or being abused. It's about control and trust.
