Nevermind the content (it's great!), what I enjoy about Hard Fork is that you and Kevin are laughing a lot. (You had me at "gravitas" ๐)

At my job, we used to do (proper) reviews "after merge" back when we used SVN, i.e. trunk-based development. However, this quickly got messy when one file was touched for multiple issues. So then a file could be "reviewed" for one issue but "in rework" for another. Very confusing for everyone ๐ซฃ
"It depends" (product, team, culture, industry,...) as usual. Bot reviewing is the worst of both world (blocker reviews + false safety net). So either commit to doing proper reviews or don't do them at all I guess. I also feel that toold for doing reviews aren't great (hence my side project ๐)
Did Microsoft just acquire OpenAI for $0 ?
(especially because the replacement has to be *really* good)
Fair enough! It's interesting to me that there are a number of projects (mine included) that try to improve the review experience, but none has emerged as a clear alternative yet. Which maybe means people simply don't dislike the default enough ๐
On GitLab? Are you happy with their UI for doing such reviews? Genuinely interested if I'm the only one disliking it ๐
