Our new episode looks at MST3K K13, SST: Death Flight. If you haven't seen this one (because it's KTMA), you might want to hunt it down, because the plot is wild and the cast is chock-a-block full of familiar faces. See how many you recognize! itsjustashow.com/episode/162

A supersonic jet on its maiden voyage is trying to break the speed record on its way to Paris. Here we see it flying high above the clouds. That's the set-up of SST: Death Flight.
That's Burgess Meredith (who designed the plane), Doug McClure (as a disgraced former pilot, helping out during an emergency), and Robert Reed (the dad from The Brady Bunch, as your actual pilot).
Here we see John de Lancie (Q from Star Trek: TNG) about to punch Peter Graves (Mission: Impossible and Biography). Graves used to date de Lancie's girlfriend, you see. But Graves is only there to stop him from harassing Billy Crystal (playing a gay-coded flight attendant).
Lorne Greene (from Bonanza and those Alpo commercials) is back on the ground trying to troubleshoot the plane's problems. You know Lorne is dependable because he's wearing a tie that's wide enough to land a plane on.

Putting on my Trekspert hat I have to point out that Shatner has indeed "written" a number of Star Trek novels, particularly an alternate universe where Kirk didn't die from the events depicted in Generations. I have not read any of them. Life is short and precious...

I wasn't concerned about Tom Weller but I do hope Charlotte watches the real The Fog movie soon
