Not top up, but bottom up. Charging is fastest when the battery charge is low. Zero to 80% takes about the same time as 80% to 95%. The next thing is to only charge enough, plus your personal comfort buffer, to reach the next charger. Charging beyond that is slower than charging at the next stop.
