I hate that smug prick Starmer so much.
I think Ben grabbed the crux of it here. "Welcome space for conservative views" in 2024 feels incompatible with a welcoming space for marginalized people and the loudest voices demanding one are saying very specifically they want this network to be open to them at the expense of trans people.
On the one hand getting rid of blocking is bad. On the other it does mean I can call James O'Brien a hypocritical twat again.
Thing is with a lot of these commentariat, they aren't worth your respect, they aren't clever, just lucked into to a job and can be useful. Like with Brendan, I can give him an ounce of respect because he's at least ideologically consistent and has some principles. Dunt, nah fuck off son
Imagine there is over lap here between people who think covid is a myth and those who think the vaccine means they can't get covid now. I'd put my money on it being more of the latter.
This is a simply stunning Public Health failure. Half of Americans never think they'll get COVID again www.ipsos.com/en-us/half-a...
Half of Americans (49%) believe they'll never get COVID again, according to new polling from the Ipsos Consumer Tracker
Call me old fashioned but I remember when bombing people in public indiscriminately was terrorism.
Whenever I point out oh Labour have said they're gonna do this that's all I get now. No defence of the policies. Just "let's just wait and see" It's too late then isn't it. If you cheerlead them right up to the point they do the bad thing it's too late to protest it.
There are centrists out there who would literally watch Starmer march migrants out in front of a firing squad and just before they pull the trigger still be saying "oh we can't judge him because he hasn't done anything yet"
