Lovely illustration of the Italian Chapel on Orkney which features in my story The Sweetest Thing. #writers#illustrators
Photos from a visit to the northern most coast of Scotland including Dunnet Bay, John o Groats and Balmelvich beach. We also visited Cocoa Mountain at Balnakeil which inspired the setting for The Sweetest Thing. Ferries travel from John o Groats to Orkney where the little Italian Chapel is.
Delighted to have a short story published in this week’s People’s Friend magazine. Short stories were my first writing love and I’m pleased that several more will be published this year 📚😍
Thanks. I love a tree festooned with lights on these dark nights 🎄
This is where I’ll be relaxing with hot chocolate and a book. Just a few presents to exchange and a big birthday to celebrate, then…🧑🎄 Being in the northern hemisphere, I really appreciate Christmas tree lights and candles on these dark nights. #christmasttee#scotland#bookthreads#scotland
It’s a first for me. I’m following along on BBCSounds.
Have a great walk. I love these wee birds. We have bluetits nesting every year in our box. They visit it in the year too - we saw them pop in and out just yesterday. (East Scotland). We had visiting waxwings the other week too. Nice to find your account 🦉👍
