October 5, 2024: The online response to Hurricane Helene is absolutely disgusting. There's an episode of South Park called "Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow" and it parodies the misplaced anger and unwillingness to negotiate between all parties in the relief effort.
October 4, 2024: I have some good news. Today, we have officially acquired the property next to us. As of right now, the plan is to pay around $500 every month for at least three and a half years. If all goes well, we'll have it completely paid off by 2028. Fingers crossed!
