How many times has a version of this blog post been written in the last 30 years. Typically the claim is only sustained by artificially narrowing what counts as Marxist to a silly extent, and this seems no exception?

As a Brit can someone tell Joe Heath that it is “taking the piss” not “taking a piss”. Other than that it is an interesting take.
1) While Cohen eventually became a moralistic egalitarian, he didn't ever become a liberal. 2) This bit is certainly wrong. I know neo-Republican Marxists; neo-Republican Marxists are friends of mine; and they, Senator, are not liberals.
