My sister now thinks I'm "unsafe" because I'm a Pagan and a democrat. She couldn't even give me real examples of what I'd done wrong, and I've wracked my brain to no avail. But her Christian, conservative heart decided that this meant I was worth disowning and not worth holding onto as a sister.
Okay, so I Iike rap music when it's women doing it. And I like country when it's black people doing it. Apparently I just like the new, modern takes on these genres I've never listened to much.
As a fat girl, I am a comfy, luxurious 10 in the Shire -- at least until they figure out that I can't bake.
My wife and I just watched Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum this afternoon. It ended up being a really fun experience. Has anyone else seen this movie?
Looking for music recs! Any genre acceptable, but please no Christian/worship music. It's not that I don't honor your faith, but I have triggers around that music. Otherwise... what music brings you joy today?
I posted on FB about being a queer pagan democrat in a rural Oregon area, and feeling hatred from my community even though I donate to local programs and contribute positively as a neighbor. "Friend" came to console me with "I'm straight, white, R Xtian man. I'm sorry you're hurt, but shake it off."
I'm delighted that the R media is trying to paint Walz as a bogeyman. It gives me more opportunities to watch him go "woooo, feeding kids, higher income, health insurance, woooo I'm so scary!"
After spending four days without AC in desert heat, I can safely say that I'm glad I don't believe in Hell anymore, because I am not cut out for that shit. 🥵
Conservatives: "A woman outperforming other women? Well, men are naturally superior to women. She must be a TRANS." Me, a totally rational person: "I can't wait for the day a trans man beats your ass until you cry."
