another feature I like in competing options that MacOS doesn't seem to have is simple editing tools, being able to redact or add boxes/arrows without dealing with ""apps"" and """files""" is too useful

is there a way to make it copy to clipboard? the default behavior of "save to desktop" is possibly my least favorite option. personally I use flameshot bound to the keys of my choice on Linux, but tbh this is something Windows does right imo (built-in, good key combo, copy to clipboard by default)
