The more I learn about Walz the more I like him and I don't know if I can say that about any other politician. Even the good ones. Rare stuff.
They were lobbying ā with perfect objectivity, of course ā for a certain homophily. Shapiro had the background and social milieu that many of them did, the one (unlike that of a rural teacher) they could identify with.

They had no awareness. Easy not to blame them. But theyāre in the business and put zero effort into actually getting to know any of these people and how they are perceived in their states. Thereās real stories and real talent in flyover country.
Totally agree and would generalize āpundit skepticism of Harris/desire for open conventionā is the kind of thing that should get you ignored for all eternity. Completely ego driven. No concern for country or ability to perceive how regular folks could connect
