watched most of KILL, a Hindi action movie from last year, before bed last night. it is phenomenal. nearly two hours of perfectly choreographed and incredibly brutal hand-to-hand action sequences. think THE RAID but on a train. boxd.it/HTqS
When an army commando finds out his true love is engaged against her will, he boards a New Dehli-bound train in a daring quest to derail the arranged marriage. But when a gang of knife-wielding…
Oh my God you just described my dream movie
Would love to see @tgshepherdvan.bsky.social do a review of the fight choreography.
@janecoaston.bsky.social this seems up your alley
Saw it in a theater, and as someone who LOVES The Raid, it just felt like too much bloody violence, which was weird. I loved the concept of the story, but the execution was a bit too proud of its technical abilities. Maybe I should not have sat in the fourth row.
But wait: How do you watch MOST of such a good movie and not finish it?? (Also, putting this in my queue!)
The colourism is what stopped it from being a 5-star pick for me. Though, I admit that this issue may be more personal to me given my South-Asian heritage. However, I’d assume that colourism may also be obvious for other POC viewers too.
We decided this is a horror movie, but you're on the side of the monster. 😂 Did not expect it to be so melodramatic though, lol.
Have you seen Twilight of the Warriors? Classic Hong Kong cinema style action and fight choreography + Sammo Hung. Main villain is also one of the more memorable characters I’ve seen in a HK action movie.

High praise, The Raid is nigh-perfect
You can tell we need a major passenger rail expansion because we don't make nearly enough movies that take place on trains
