i don’t think a single journalist in a position to do so has asked the question of trump, “how can americans trust you’ll be able to handle a crisis after covid?”
Or Maria, or Iran, or losing an election, or or or
We know his answer: he handled it brilliantly, and it would have been so much worse under Comrade Kamala. (He just won't use the word "vaccine" at any point.)
Do you think that's an "everyone already knows what he's gonna say" problem or something else?
I’m not sure what challenging or “unfriendly” interviews he’s done recently either. In other words, I don’t know what they’re talking about that he’s doing and she’s not doing.
I can imagine his reply though. He would deny anything bad happened and take credit for vaccines.
I think it's about 5000% likely he would answer that question with the information that his response was beautiful and perfect and that the democrats had screwed things up. And then he would start talking about genes or something.
Literally “looking back, is there anything you would change about how you handled Covid?” is a legitimately decent question and one he should answer. I know he’d probably either say “we were perfect” (damning) or “i don’t like to think about the past” but come on
That can look to his tip-top handling of Hurricane Maria.
That would have been a clean hit.
