At that exciting point where conversations about audiobook recording are happening and there are questions like "Does the regional accent differ between city X and city Y?" and I'm just like "Haha I have no idea I just work here"
Here's the news I was hinting at earlier in the week - really thrilled to announce that THE SILVERBLOOD PROMISE will be published in the US by Tor Books in May '24! Get ready for adventure. ⚔️🪄🩸🔥 www.tor.com/2023/11/16/a...
Oh, and I understand there's some exciting news being announced on Thursday, so look out for that if you feel so inclined... 👀
Just cracked 75k on WIP and it's cooking. The next sequence has been knocking around in my head for about fifteen years, so I'm pumped to finally get to write it. Daring escapades in a long-abandoned plague district that *might* be haunted...and a disaster dog who is still the best boy. Bring ittttt
Over the moon to share that Jo Fletcher Books will be republishing The Coral Bones, with a new novel, The End Where We Begin, following in 2025 🪸😁 www.bookbrunch.co.uk/page/article...
No rest for the wicked. UK page proofs, US copy edits, sifting through potential author photos (no, YOU wore a creased t-shirt to a photoshoot, you muppet), lining up promotional stuff for next year, all while trying to actually write book two (50k in now - is it good? Who the hell knows.)
I am going through a Difficult Time but I also have a new book out next month that I worked my arse off on, & so I refuse to sink into a pit just yet. Talonsister has found family, evil empires, griffins, & lashings of British folklore seen through my own weird filter.
