I'm new to Bluesky. Would someone please explain the purpose of User Lists?

I'm reading "Style: The Basics of Clarity and Grace." Ch. 2 discusses nominalizing adjectives and verbs, e.g., "The nominalization of verbs in your writing is to be avoided," versus "Avoid nominalizing verbs in your writing." Note that "nominalizing" becomes a gerund, but "avoid" becomes a verb.

The opening line of Ursula K. Le Guin's The Dispossessed is "There was a wall." I love the simplicity of this opening sentence and that it surreptitiously contains the themes of the novel: duality and separation. A wall divides two things, two sides. A theoretical wall separate ideas and peoples.
