A while back on twitter there was this post going around asking professional artists what advice they'd give to younger newbies/what they wish they'd done different, and my advice was: Very very carefully curate yourself and your image. Never get mad or express opinions if you had anything to lose

I agree with this 100%. I’m not as good as I want to be at it but it’s true. I’m always trying to balance on the line between “publicly honest about The Struggles” and “tailored presence to look Hirable”

I’m curious about this; So from my perspective you and many others have gotten successful careers despite posting ship art or “titillating” work. Is that in itself a bad thing? From what I recognized from my own viewership over the years is the more outgoing I was and less professional, the more 1/2

I really tried @-@ but the conditions of being in latam and trans made a lot of that quite hard. I do try to stay my hand whenever I'm angry, because I know that in the end it will just feed my misery more. So when I'm like that I try to take a breather and do anything else.

I've tried again and again and I think the twitter environment made me slip. I know better now and I'm still hoping to work on this. Having a lot to say doesn't mean everyone will vibe with it. 🫠

Ironically, one's demonstration of humanity seems to be the only thing that's going to differentiate us from AI-image-drivel. People need to connect to the human artist as much as they connect to the art now. So, maybe a carefully drawn balance without extremes? Know thy audience?

This is so real I take it step further to have a personal online presence separate from your public endeavors Expressing my opinion is what got me banned from Twitter lol which I am glad to be rid of but it also taught me a lesson about protecting myself and not looking for trouble

I already failed 🫡

I got a lot of flack for saying this, ironically lol, and I eventually deleted it but I honestly still stand by it. Public social media is too huge. You can't be yourself. When something from your soul is your job, like art, you can't really let that exist freely these days
