Oh my personal favorite is from archeology: Ritual. To an archaeologist, "ritual use" is literally anything that someone used repeatedly for a specific purpose, but they don't necessarily know what that is. A toothbrush? Ritual use. Makeup? Ritual use. To the rest of the world: Oooo RELIGION.
