Two of NYC's last four mayors have been hardcore "law and order" types. Both turned out to be criminals. Take from that what you will. I'm aware Bloomberg and to a lesser extent de Blasio were awful when it came to law enforcement policy, but the other two made it a core part of their campaigns
The Trump attempted shooter being assigned to Judge Cannon is hilarious. Imagine being the prosecutor in what should be a fairly easy case and having the very real possibility of unethical ties between the judge and the victim being exposed at any moment.
