The only good thing to come out of Kemi Badenochās legitimisation of this contemptible view is that it provided an opportunity for @johnharris1969.bsky.social to take it apart piece by piece.
Right then. I think we've reached a watershed point in the waging of culture wars, and Conservatives ought to see it, and act on it. I wrote this today: What kind of person would drag autistic children into the culture wars? The Kemi Badenoch kind www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
The Tory leadership hopeful paints a picture of special treatment. As the father of an autistic child, I can tell you thatās a lie, says Guardian columnist John Harris

To the surprise of all at the Potters (leisure resort) Quiz Night, Pascal (my son, 38 Down S) got all the capitals correct. The only one to do so. I've often asked him how he does it. His reply is always acutely zen in its directness. "I do" he replies. With no teaching & no retrieval practice.

To improve attendance, schools need to understand how it interacts with mental health and SEND and build systems of support accordingly, argues Professor Tamsin Ford
I have a y9 student who has recently lost his sight. He cannot see anything on paper or a screen. He has the support of an LSA, and specialist training is due to take place asap. If you have experience of this, any advice on teaching maths to blind students would be much appreciated.
If you're looking for support, especially in the form of supervision, I've spent a day tidying up (most) of my website just for you. :) www.mind-your-head.net#rED24 on Saturday. Get in touch if this is of interest.
