You say that but then some of my favorite movies are technically remakes (I'm sorry but Ocean's 11 is fantastic, the original is bland as hell)
Do I 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 the (first!) Clooney/Pitt one better than the original? Sure! I've said the same thing (here, even) about Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and it's true of others, too. My liking some of them doesn't mean I needed/wanted them to be made, as a viewer 𝘰𝘳 as a writer/actor. Different angles, here. 👍
