In my state, there is a hospital panel of ob/gyns to address this very problem. The pregnancies that make it to 24 weeks are for children who are wanted. The people fighting for this are women who've had a pregnancy fail in late term, and been forced to travel to a sane state, and their doctors. 2/2

Except you are incorrect. In the US, 92% of abortions happen in the first 13 weeks. Most states draw a line in the neighborhood of 24 weeks for outside-the-womb viability; after that, you can only get an abortion for extraordinary circumstances, e.g, fetal death or threat to mother's life. 1/2
