Failure point, but I do have sympathy for those reluctant to leave. I see my website analytics, leaving Twitter will not be easy, but I’ve prepared myself as best I can and again, Elon, I hope he dies alone and scared. Fin

A year on this site and others trying to rebuild a community and my sales are down 16%. I finally quit Twitter this week because fuck that guy, but it will hurt, I don’t know if I can survive. It may be different for accounts who don’t sell physical objects idk, and X has reached a critical (2)

I’ve seen this idea floated here a lot, and while I don’t disagree with it, I don’t think it scales well. When you are an artist who has a net take home of 35-40k and Twitter was once where 90% of your income could be traced to, Even if that is down to 10% that is a tough loss. I’ve spent over (1)

There are a lot of small businesses who rely on Twitter. Reach is part of the equation. I can interact a ton with @staffandbranch.bsky.social (and do). I don’t have income that lets me buy a box. So there’s value in the interactions, but that doesn’t pay his bills.

A thing about saying things in public is that anyone who hears/sees you gets to bring whatever they want into their interpretation of what you said and sometimes it's illuminating and sometimes it's deeply fucking annoying but it's aleays what's happening (hey Hey hey).

It makes me think of the way writing and game design work too. Sometimes, they're right but not for the reason they think, or they're wrong even though they followed the premise. And sometimes they're just bad actors, but they still have access to it, no matter the reason
