Remote work in general, for all industries, is beneficial to everyone involved. Better work-life balance for employees. Potentially better work for the employer since the employees are in a better frame of mind. Better for the environment by taking commuters off the street. Better for all!

I do wonder how much good faith should be assumed in the remote work debates. When a company goes from publicly supporting WFH to mandating RTO, they're basically subjecting a huge portion of their employees to constructive dismissal. It sounds a lot like cover for layoffs, doesn't it?
