It's the classic conspiracy theory mindset. Any evidence that contradicts the theory is just further evidence of how deep the conspiracy goes.

Every time I see a new article about how bad Watson is playing, I gleefully click the link. They are all saying the same thing, but somehow it never gets old.

I agree. VP debates never have an effect. There's only been one presidential debate in my lifetime that had any effect on the election, and that was the first one this year.
They are mostly screening out *young* voters. Old people have all the time in the world to get this all straightened out. Young people tend to be busier with schooling, jobs, and young children. Not to mention their phobia of talking to real people instead of filling out a form.
