Newly acquired: an unusual poem, printed in 1485 in Florence, in which is nested the first Italian printing Virgil’s Georgics. Also inscribed with poems attributed to Lorenzo de Medici, Lodovico Ariosto, and Angelo Poliziano, which were only published beginning in the late 1800s. Now BPL Q.406.55

New acquisition: course catalogs of The Samuel Adams School for Social Studies in Boston, which opened in 1944. An adult education center affiliated w/ the Communist Party, it offered a fascinating curriculum. Here, a listing for Perry Miller's class on the literature of industrialism. BPL 2024.64
