The early reporting on the Tyreek Hill arrest is that he and the cops got into a "verbal altercation," which Hill denies. I want to stress that it doesn't matter. Being rude to a cop does not entitle a gang of them to put you in cuffs facedown on the pavement! www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/...
Tyreek Hill said after the Dolphins' victory over the Jaguars that he was still trying to process his pregame detainment by police for an alleged speeding violation.
Honestly a “verbal altercation” is an oxymoron. He hurt an officer’s sweet snowflake feelings, but the guy with the authority in that situation is the one who has to be the adult regardless
Tyreek Hill is a domestic violence perpetrator, so fuck him anyway.
Mr Hill was "redirected to the ground." Please!
Anyone check that cop's FanDuel account?
Are we sure the officer just wasn't a Bills fan?
The shift I’ve seen that was almost instantly normalized is putting the officers’ safety above all else. The union’s statement said Hill was “…briefly detained for officer safety…” as though no indignity or safety risk is too great so long as officer safety is maximized www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/...
The union representing Miami-Dade police officers said in a statement that Tyreek Hill was "uncooperative" and was only "redirected" to the ground during his detainment before the Dolphins' game Sunda...
they say he was "redirected to sit" which based on the video involved a police officer getting a running start and then kicking him in the back of the knee.
I also wonder about the intelligence of cops when they stop a young, athletic Black man in an expensive car a block from the stadium 3 hours before the game, whose 300-pound friends are arriving at the same time to intercede, & it doesn’t occur to them that they might not get way with the usual shit
It's how you get people arrested where the only charge is... Resisting arrest.
Did you hear what Calais Campbell had to say?
