Instead of legislating censorship, they should be helping parents by allocating funds to educate them on internet literacy and online safety. By having kids, YOU have extended responsibilities. The government shouldn't be given carte blanche oversight to online spaces. That's how we get censored.

It’s so wild how when I was in school I had computer class and was taught basic online safety and how to use different programs, and after a few years everyone just assumed that knowledge would just transfer via osmosis. Kids today are REALLY given an uphill battle when it comes to tech

I agreed 100% and that honestly frustrated me when it comes to irresponsible from lazy parents causing so many of us ended up in this stressful censorship situations affecting our freedoms.

KOSA is billed as a "why won't you think of the kids" so that's why I frame it from that perspective. Obviously KOSA does more insidious shit behind the scenes, but they always have the scare tactic hook attached.
