Yeah, understandably, I’m not sure anyone else had the latitude to do what Kirby did—to jump companies and in both cases continue to create new work, not justify his page rate by being on the biggest titles.

I also think the rise of these companies being "brands" in the portfolios of entertainment conglomerates doesn't help.
