Our country is not perfect. It took 100 years from the Civil War to the passage of the Civil Rights Act. BUT we can go out in the streets and protest and organize and push for change without fear of being thrown in jail. Things would be so much worse without even that right.

this is exactly it. The stakes are just too high. I’d have been deeply disappointed and crushed if Romney had won the presidency over Obama, but I wouldn’t have been immediately terrified for my life, for the lives of every human and the world as a whole. Also he hates dogs
