Yes, but then we can talk about our benefits and generate new hypotheses. I'm not poor and having my kid in a pre-k at a school was great, but making it cost half as much and/or having it be a school pre-k would have been a game changer. I probably would have paid student loans during the pause.

Finally, if you could just drop your kid off at school at 8:30 and get them at 6 standard without fighting for an aftercare space or having a bus get them at the nearest rec center? More benefit for parents! More kids in the community!

Also, my kid gets free school food and again, it's great for us. All these services mean it's one less thing for me to schedule or consider, which gives me time and $$ that go to a wider economy.
