Which also explains why including things like suppressed households in housing needs estimates that are done at the municipal level, while well intended, is problematic as the demand for independent living is often in more central areas/municipalities than where they are doubled up.
For context, here is all young adults 25-34 by living arrangement. (Downsampled to 1 dot = 25 people.) Places where young adults live with parents tend to be quite different to where those that did move out decided to live.
For reference, a map of the roughly 100k adults aged 25 to 34 who are pooping at their parent's place but might want to move out and poop in their own place instead. But when pooping privately they count as "growth" and get hit with a "poop tax" of $50k to $100k.
