Scammers asking for and offering fake art commissions are a problem with BlueSky DMs. Report bots. Report spam. Some telltale signs someone is a bot: 1) they want to move to telegram or whatsapp 2) they cannot describe the specifics of the desired image 3) they answer questions you did not ask

Another one for your list: When they say they can't use Paypal/Venmo/etc but insist that they want to pay by check/bank check/cashier's check/etc.

i’m struggling to figure the end goal here? i assume it isn’t just stealing a free piece of art. are they trying to get you to sign up for scam pay sites where they can steal money/info or something?
