I have seen drawings of protected bike lanes for Cook st, Bay, and Blanshard (north of Caledonia) are these projects funded and planned for next year or are they just hypothetical type plans?
We probably use more wood construction here than most of the world. But yeah the fire fighters are being a little dramatic.

But we needed network as these were shared chargers. Something else that a bare bones policy could require at least x number of shared chargers per multifamily building.
In Canada, two networked level 2 chargers added to an existing panel with about 10m of conduit ran $12k had it been a new build no money spent coring through a wall and some efficiency in having trades already on site. Just dryer plugs would have cut the price down to about $5k for the two.
It's hard, I can see how this number could be possible at the upper end of things for multifamily. But if the regulation was done with some reasonable accommodations I am sure it could be much less. Even compromised policy like roughed in conduit and excess building ⚡ capacity or shared chargers.
I was hoping our neighbours would follow Victoria's example but unfortunately it seems we need the Province to force them. 😔
