Oh, man. I have't thought about that place in a LONG time. We used to shop at Mecurios Grocery, on that same block. And I had my first comic book "shop" experience (late '70s) in a second floor spot in the building just to the right.

I was first put off by the noise, but this develops into a fast, funny conversation with a My Dinner With Andre-ish digressive energy that is a wonder to hear (but plenty of comics-centric material).
