i personally think the entire reason mitt romney is sitting this election out is because he fully bought into the narrative that his treatment by democrats in 2012 led to trump in 2016, and he's waiting for an apology that will never come
Willard was treated well by Democrats, especially for someone that said “Corporations are people, my friend”
Interestingly and impressively, his campaign strategist, Stuart Stevens, is one of the most incisive anti-Trump (and pro-Harris) people out there.
Will never get over that that dude was 100% convinced he was going to beat Obama. Like he had the the absolute sureness Hillary had. Like yeah neither had the likabilty to justify sureness, but she was up against a cartoon villian and he was up against the most popular President of my lifetime
Notice how they all become sorry ass weasels once they’ve left office
Why is it so hard for some people to accept that right wingers like right wing politicians and policies? Even if they don’t like the style of him, they like the substance and outcomes.
Mitt Romney loves America but he loves his ego more.
Wait, Dems being mean to Romney led to Trump? This is a new one on me
I think Mitt’s a fantasist who believes a post-Trump gop will fall on their knees before him and beg him to lead them out of the wilderness. As if they’ll all forget the dinner.
Who? lol
Not a fan of the guy but he did get a lot of shit for saying Russia was the biggest threat to the US. The more their fuckery is uncovered, the more I gotta agree on that point.
