Feeding kids is mostly about marketing and this is one of my great truths of parenting. Although cinnamon toast is basically a perfect food so can't blame them.
The one time I read it I was relieved to discover it was its own section I could skip almost in its entirety. (Just needed the last 3 pages or so.) So I guess technically I haven't read it.
Now the big question: can I get to bed despite driving all day or will it require a sleeping pill? Driving is such a weird thing, my brain always struggles to come down from that specific kind of sustained alertness.

Ok yes it was very optimistic to think I could drive supplies out and back to Western NC in 8-9 hours. Was 12+ in the end with loading, unloading, road closures, and a stop to pick up some dehumidifiers and heaters.
I love my home airport RDU but I swear to god my gate isn't available about 1/3 of the time when I get in. If we get in early? Then DEFINITELY gonna be sitting on the tarmac for 15 minutes or so.

Mutual aid networks have been doing amazing things in NC. And they've also done so well sharing info. Thanks to all that I got connected with one network and I'll be driving supplies in tomorrow. I do excel at long drives, great to help through one of my only occasionally useful talents.
Vacation is over and that's sad. But there was a really beautiful cat in the house I was staying in.
