idk why the concept of immigration "changing the character" of the places they live was allowed so much legitimacy, like immigrants are not wealthy enough in large enough numbers to force anybody out of their hometown, which cannot be said of Airbnb landlords!

Because racists consider hearing someone speak another language on the street, or seeing signs on businesses in another language, to be changing the character of the area
