alright, appointment went well- doctor and nurses were all super chill. it turns out though i don't have an ear infection, but a eustacian tube malfunction that may not be easily fixable :/ cross your fingers the treatment plan works, i'm so sick of my ear sounding like it's full of water

Besides the point, but the eustachian tube is one of those body parts that still makes me go, what? every time I remember it exists. You’re telling me my ear connects to my throat???

I get that fairly often, usually for weeks at a time and sometimes months, and I've been thinking about getting that checked out. It's very frustrating suddenly not hearing out of one ear!
