I think it really will be. RTS told me on LinkedIn that EVO isn't going anywhere no matter how it does, but I hope fans, who almost lost this event, go all-in in supporting it. I'm really jazzed to watch some esports that don't require me to pull out charts and graphs to follow.

Evolving it into a celebration of fighting game culture as well as a premier tournament is such a good idea.
