This article is absolutely right about the need to refocus on writing as a creative process - thinking by writing - in a post-generative AI environment. Sadly, it’s also spot on about how difficult universities find it to move quickly.

With adjustments to the way we teach students to think about writing, we can shift the emphasis from product to process
Doing this on my new module for first years. Writing is thinking and we should all want to be better at thinking. Hoping they buy in.
