Scrump only cares about attention. Whatever gets him the most attention, he's for. He doesn't have deeply-held beliefs about anything. He believes whatever will net him the most clicks/eyeballs/money that day. If becoming a socialist and changing his name to Pierre would help him win, he'd do it.
