The Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg (RBG) Award was created in 2019 to honour PROGRESSIVE WOMEN, FFS! In 2024, the despicable Dwight D Opperman Foundation decided to award it to one woman + FOUR men. All five are multimillionaires, all are rightwing, and two of them are convicted felons who have been in prison on financial charges (fraud, securities). The family of RGB - along with others - loudly protested the 2024 awards, calling them “an affront to the memory of our mother” and "this insult to her legacy"... and the ceremony was cancelled.
